Recipe Ingredients: 3 lb Beef; boiling
6 qt Water; cold
2 tb Salt
2 Carrots
3 Onions
1/2 Cabbage; head
4 Celery; stalks - chopped
1 cn Tomatoes or 2 tb Tomato paste
1 cn Peas
1 c Potatoes; diced
2 T. rice Cooking Directions: Cook beef in water and salt 1 1/2 hours. After 1/2 hour of beef cooking, soak rice in cold water for 1 hour. Then add carrots, onions, cabbage, celery. One-half hour later add tomatoes, peas, potatoes, and drained rice. Cook until rice is done. Add a dash of pepper and serve.
